Lee pitched well and the wind was blowing out
Good peice on Brandon Inge on TBS right now.
Talking about how his life has been changed by visiting sick children.
Coffee. The NEW Performance Enhancing drug for Sport's Writers. Just ask Ken Rosenthal.

Twins do the little things right
like messing up double plays.
Kansas City Royals: your 2006 and 2007 NL Central champions!
what happened to that guy

The Giants thought he was tradeable
because they believed him to be subject to arm injury. They knew he could be great, but they thought that even if he achieved greatness it wouldn’t last.
Sadly, they were dead wrong about other guys in that deal.
It saddens me to see players to crash and burn because of injuries...
though I can see him throwing an Hideo Nomo like no-hitter in the twilight of his career

I put some of Will Caroll's recent Under The Knife reports on Liriano
in the gamethread for his last start against KC, if you want to check those out.
interresting
Im a correct in reading that there may be a mechanical problem?

Fair enough...
I thought they were implying there were problems they could fix.

Yes, I think you’re right that Carroll is suggesting that — especially when he says the Twins should have “straightened him out” last year. But there just isn’t enough information there to say what it would have entailed. Change in conditioning? Change in delivery? Throw with his right arm?
I find Carroll’s stuff to be informative when he relays concrete stuff about injuries, but when he waxes speculative I usually can’t figure out what he means.
Ship him to StL...
Im sure they can turn him into a 30 game winner

2 years ago I would have said yes...
after this debacle of a season and the awfulness that is the bullpen… I say no.

Twinkies are starting to give up...
hacking at pitches out of the zone… CC only threw 8 pitches that inning.

did the announcers have anything to say about how great the Yankees are?
"Things could always be worse." - Buddy Bell
Dang
I think that’s probably all she wrote for the Twins tonight
Dunno
But I didn’t think the Twins had any chance tonight unless whashisname who pitched for them gave up 0 or 1 runs as they just weren’t going to score much after last night’s game and flight.
That's looking like a solid prediction
but I heard that when they need an extra pick-me-up they all get buzzed on Canadian Smarties.

So that's how
Devil_fingers gets all his energy.

So, if ARod has a torrid October and the Yankees win the World Series
How long until all the stories about how he was always a true Yankee and how he’s one of their own that they’ve always loved?
Not long at all.
Those papers have obituaries for prominent figures ready to print. I’ll wager they’re ready with Yankee redemptions as well.
Im sure they will say its because of the protection Teixieras bat provided

Well.
at least the Royals prepared him for these situations.

Down by 5 or more?
Yup, they covered it. Down by 6, 7, 8, and 9 were all also covered. Multiple times.

In the postseason! Big Shot!

Cards don't keep the lead long.
I can't believe the Dodgers 2 hitter wasn't bunting. Torre will never make it as a Japanese manager.

In KC
anti-Cardserism(?) runs pretty deep, so I guess I’ll root for the further away evil. Go Dodgers!

Dear Bud:
Those last two half-innings, the bottom of the 6th and the top of the 7th, took long enough for my kid to do all of his honors math homework. And we’re talking about only 12 plate appearances altogether.
Now he’s in bed and your show is still limping along. And we’re two hours behind St. Louis! Is this any way to appeal to a new generation of fans?
Sincerely,
Not a fan
that explains your royals fandom then
