Neither did I

But at this point, I think everyone’s convinced themselves. We’ll see tomorrow I guess.

We're all Royals fans and from our perspective, it's a no-brainer.

I also haven’t seen much in the last week or two that has me worried.

I used to work with an old man that told me. Son, every workplace has a dumbass, if you don't have one where you work, then I'm afraid you're it.

They voted before the playoffs started though

So it really doesn’t matter at this point. It has been decided for over a month.

Yes, but things normally start leaking out.

And if this was going to be a shocking result, I’d expect to have stuff leaking out.

There's just been TOO much press

arguing that he deserves it, and a not-insignificant portion of it has actually been from guys with votes.

This space for rent.

damn Will, 180+ votes in a single day

in the middle of the offseason, on a blog about the worst franchise in baseball

if that doesn’t put a smile on your face re: your readership base, nothing will

Well that was odd

I had a dream last night that not only did Greinke lose to Sabathia but barely got 2nd place and I was sitting there arguing with some guys at work how stupid this was.

1) Not the type of dream I usually have. I mostly dream in action movie sequences- it’s true (and kindof fun).

2) Don’t really feel all that invested in this but curious that it would pop up in a dream

3) Hopefully not true

So, when’s the announcement, anyways?

Yeah

When I hear about people having weird dreams all the time, I kindof wonder about their psyche. At least 80% of the time, I dream in “action movie” (sometimes the hero, sometimes supporting cast, occasionally the villain) of some sort where I’m doing things I don’t normally get to do in real life (fly, blow stuff up, save the world, etc).

who were the brilliant 6?

Half empty/Half full

Frankly, I expected more dolts taking Sabathia. Should be we happy that they at least picked Felix, who had a fine year, albeit it was a poor man’s Zack Greinke season with 3 more wins? Or just bludgeon them for completely missing the obvious?

I’m still a little surprised to see less Halladay love as the “but he pitches in the AL East” argument vaguely holds sway with him (unlike Yankees and Red Sox pitchers who don’t pitch against their own team).

Maybe Jon Miller let his kids pick or something. He’s a busy guy and all that.

Pretty surprised by Caple

I thought he was smart

The line, as best i can tell

is:
Greinke 1-5
King Felix 7-2
CC 4-1
Verlander 4-1
Beckett 5-1

It's pretty obvious Greinke will win the Cy Young

The real question is, can he win the Bruce Rice Pitcher of the Year Award, or will he get jobbed out of it by clueless voters?

Anxiously awaiting the official announcement...

to find out Dwayne Bowe has been suspended 4 games.

Rany has a humorous twitter about that

jazayerli: Way to ruin Zack’s day, dumbass! RT @kb_kcstar: D. Bowe suspended 4 games for violating league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances.

they're right

Other than Greinke, only Feldman deserved a first-place vote

A bit anti-climactic for people who thought it was going to be close.

Too much press made it an easy decision. If you didn’t vote for Greinke, you were probably going to get hammered by people like Pos.
