Source: Kansas City to host 2012 All-Star Game
The Sox, who hosted the game in 1999, had been seeking to host the mid-summer event in 2012 to coincide with the 100th anniversary of Fenway Park. Instead, a baseball source confirms, the 2012 game will be held in Kansas City, where Kauffman Stadium recently underwent a major renovation.
We can observe Chris Getz and Josh Fields as All-Stars in their home building!

Gotta keep my season tickets until 2012 now.
Hopefully I get to see some great ball from the home team in the years leading up to the game.
