    Ireland Should Be

Robbed; daily; repeatedly; forever. I don’t even know why.

I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.

So I read that thing about the 1985 MVP

And looked at the WAR database.

George Brett had a 9.6 WAR in 1980. In 117 games. Holy cow.

    The Best Year

For a position player in my memory. It seemed like he could do whatever was needed at any time except stay on the field. Full season projections are historical.

    wow...

so like 13-14 WAR had he played a full season… crazy

    #21 is very interesting

I had no idea Johnson was that good a hitter. If he came anywhere near those batting stats consistently (again, I’m too lazy to look it up), he’s clearly the second-greatest player of all time after Ruth. They should have used him as a pinch-hitter between starts.

And #17 is my favorite player ever. When I played Little League (not very well) I flapped my arm just like Joe did. I wanted to play second like Joe, but they put me at third, mostly because I wasn’t afraid of the ball, and Little League 3Bs play way in.

We won't sign anyone for a couple of days.

We have not had a chance to bid ourselves up.

    Jorge Campillo

    minor league deal.

Minor league deals are good. Probably a reclamation project at 31 with shoulder issues.

    Before the soccer match,

    This happened:

    http://irishsoccerinsider.wordpress.com/2009/11/11/french-and-irish-fall-out-over-box-incident/

Funniest thing I’ve read in a long time. Before reading, you should know that the president of France is kind of short…

Crazy that euro football has yet to adopt some form of instant replay

I would have loved to have seen Robbie Keane in the World Cup, maybe the best post goal celebration this side of Billy White Shoes Johnson.
