Are you good enough?

The RRKLYr3 fantasy baseball league needs one more new manager to take over an orphaned team.  This is a 20 team keeper league that is based on Yahoo.  15 teams returned from last season's tough competition.  Going into the last week of the season 12 teams were still in the hunt for a playoff spot.  This is a very hardcore league.  If you need any advise about getting into the league email AxDxMx, NYRoyal, Marbotty, and or the 2009 winner Focs.

One spot and it will be given to the first new manager that emails me.  Do it now!  Winter Meetings, via email, will start the first week of December.  Email me...  You had better be competitive all season because you do not want to piss this group off.  Email me...

Just click on Grudz96....

As of this morning the spot has been filled. If you are interested I will keep your name just in case someone drops out before the start of the season.

I had to laugh at this

You had better be competitive all season because you do not want to piss this group off.

But it is true. Though I would be a little happier if I could pick up the player I want from the FA list more often.

All in all, very fun league because of the competition.

I added that for a little humor...

but the blood was pumping all season. Great league from start to finish.

That league takes a hell of a lot of work to compete

Depth is scarce, so one has to keep an eye on the FA market constantly.

I like playing fantasy sports, but sometimes it's just too easy in the public leagues

This actually would feel like an accomplishment to win it. Of course it takes a little luck too.

I also like fantasy baseball much more than fantasy football...

and Im sure NYRoyal would agree, being that he has had some of the worst luck in fantasy football history in that league.

Yet after this week, if current games hold

he’s sitting in 6th place, which is in the playoffs.

Hope it works out that way

I squeaked into the playoffs in that league last year and won it in the playoffs. Of course, in the RR baseball league, I was first at the end of the regular season and then folded in the playoffs and wound up with fourth place. Fantasy sports is weird that way.

Sounds like the actual playoffs and WS

If I had any doubt...

it was surely squashed… Grudz’s wrath on Cassel Bonita in the football league was quite amazing to say the least.

Also being one of the new members, not that I want crucial helpful points, but was just curious if there is anything I should now going forward… Ive never used holds, how valuable did that make set-up guys?

Holds can usually be found on the waiver wire, but you probably want to chase a decent set up man in the mid to late rounds

Treat it like the saves category, but know that it is more plentiful as a hold gets handed out even if you’re a LOOGY that throws 1 pitch and gets a ground ball out while keeping the lead in a save situation and then leave the game.
