tommy mendoza or clemens
Saw mendoza pitch against NW Ark and he looked real good.. think he’s only 21 and also left handed which we could use.. And if we are really desperate for a backup catcher why not try out clemens instead of giving away one of our good players in callaspo
Indians have a bunch of intriguing arms
Carlton Smith, Chuck Lofgren, Yohan Pino, Josh Tomlin
I like Corey Wimbley. Speedster who can play lots of positions. That has to be more valuable than Josh Anderson.
Brett Jensen is a strike thrower in the pen.
Josh Schmidt put up some eye-popping numbers in AA as a reliever, although he is already 27.
RHP Amalio Diaz posted impressive numbers as a 22 year old in AA
Solid minor league numbers by Jeremy Papelbon, although he is 26.
Zach Daeges posted a 1.000 OPS in 2007, was hurt most of last year.
If there is a decent catcher to take, it would probably be a good idea to grab him. Clemens would be a gamble, but he did have an impressive 2009.
I’d be all for grabbing a solid glove behind the plate – don’t care how he hits.

If the Royals were to take a guy, I'd bet on someone in the bullpen
or a starter that could pitch long relief there. Papelbon is an intriguing name.
Might as well pick up some pitcher
The #6 guy in the bullpen is likely to suck anyway, so they might as well pick up someone with upside.
