Two-Star Prospects

Four More:
12. Tyler Sample, RHP: This 6-foot-7 power arm has a ceiling that might rank with that of anyone in the system.
13. Derrick Robinson, CF: Scouts still love his tools, especially the 80-grade speed, but 2010 could be a make-or-break year for him.
14. Carlos Rosa, RHP: The strong-armed Dominican has tons of velocity, but it's more than bit straight.
15. Kila Ka'aihue, 1B: The minor-league TTO hero failed to build on his 2008 breakout, and now just seems like a walks machine.

Thats fairly bearish on Hosmer
I’d probably consider bumping the top 4 up half a star (its my world, i can give out as much star as I want).
Probably bump Hosmer up at least half a star and probably Duffy and Bianchi as well.
All in all, it looks like we have a TON of trade bait for the impending Gary Matthews Jr. trade this winter. Hell, we can afford to overpay for a talent like that.
I agree
On hosmer and Duffy. I’m not convinced on Bianchi yet. I’d probably bump Moose down.
In a chat session, Goldstein says Blake Wood and Johnny Giovatella are in the 16-20 range. I’m not high on Johnny G, but I think he has a much better shot at being useful than Derrick Robinson.

But Art Stewart assured everyone that Robinson would be the next great Royals CF!
(If you can’t tell, I agree with you Retro – I don’t think Robinson will ever become anything useful at all)
Mr Glass, this is a pro sports team, not a retail store - run it like one!
Hey, Mike Moustakas might be an above average player!
I'm not a sabermetrician, but I do play one at FanGraphs.

Seems a little rough
All Duffy has done is produce consistently. I guess he will have to prove he wasn’t aided by the park at Wilmington first…

Kind of disappointing to not have any five star prospects
but I imagine that is because most of the top prospects are still pretty young. I guess we might see many of these guys hit five star in a year or two – at least I hope we do.
Lets see, Kila was kind of slammed.
A walks machine? He’s clearly done with this organization.
I used to work with an old man that told me. Son, every workplace has a dumbass, if you don't have one where you work, then I'm afraid you're it.
Now, how nice is it...
to see 4 lefty starters in the top 10?
awesome
4 Star is supposed to represent about #51-100 overall. An average team has 3 players with 4 & 5 stars. Our 5 guys, plus Duffy & Hosmer as borderline candidates. I think DM has done a great job rebuilding our minor leagues. Now let’s get them to AA.
DH: Where's the party!
Danny: David Howard and Mike Sweeney! Go away! Guys, you're gonna wake up my Mom!

Kila
Yeah the knock on Kila is that he cannot catch up to a major league fastball. Pretty tough to play in the big leagues if you cant hit a 90 plus fastball. I still wished that Shealy would have turned out. He did bot have a ton of HR power but coudl sure drive in runs. he appears finished unfortunatly.
Although tough to make it in the big league if you can't get on base or play defense
yet there are Mike Jacobs, Willie Bloomquist, and Yuniesky Betancourt

Also tough to make it to the big leagues when Mike Jacobs and Jose Guillen
are the cornerstones blocking your promotion
