Around SBN: Jeff Sullivan's MLB Trade Deadline Primer

I'm surprised. When I saw that the Royals cut Mike Jacobs and John Bale, I thought there would be a lot of excited comments.

Need to figure out how this fits into The Process® ...

…and why those who criticized the Front Office for acquiring Jacobs were showing their ignorance.

OK, I'll try:

Ou GM traded a young reliever with upside, who was cost controlled for several more years, for one year of a negative value player.

Now for the celebration:

He didn’t compound his mistake by stubbornly overpaying to keep said negative value player.

Progress, Royals style.

Mr Glass, this is a pro sports team, not a retail store - run it like one!

I still have no love lost for Nunez

If he is still in the Majors & productive in 3 years I’ll be shocked unless he puts some majr, Runelephant style meat on his frame

BOOM! ROASTED!

Fair point, but I would have rather seen him traded for someone else.

I used to work with an old man that told me- Son, every workplace has a dumbass. If you don't have one where you work, then I'm afraid you're it.
