So what do we know about this guy?
I know the name but not much else.

Didn't he also screw the pre pubescent Lolita......
In the Nabakov Novel? Its the equivalent of what GMDM is doing to the fragile psyche of Royal Fandom with the apparently apocalyptic Kendall signing.

An upside never reached his potential guy
Another cheap and good move from GMDM that is basically zero risk.

Kendall, the pitcher whisperer, will get him throwing right
Just like he did with Manny Parra last year
*You think I'm good* "You know, that Farnsworth is pretty good." *You will give me 9 million dollars* "So, Farnsy, how does $9 million sound?"

He was once one of the best prospects in the Mets system
His stock has dropped since then. He’s a nice, cheap reclamation project.

good, cheap gamble
Mr Glass, this is a pro sports team, not a retail store - run it like one!

Milledge and Humber were the Mets best prospects
But Minaya didn’t want them. Luckily there is only one GM worse than Moore and that’s him.
Bryan Bullington! Phil Humber!
Mark Prior and Mark Mulder are next!

I don't see the harm
They’re cheap, why not take a flier?

What's the harm?
Carlos Pena, Ryan Ludwick, Jeremy Guthrie, Brandon Phillips were all failed prospects given up on by their organizations that turned out to be very good players. I don’t think Humber will end up being great, but who knows? Maybe in the right hands he turns his career around. If he doesn’t, all it cost us was a spot in Omaha, which we really have plenty of thanks to a number of poor drafts back in the day.

Prior, no but I’d consider Mulder if he rehabbed all last year. The potential is too high and the cost is non-existent

The Brewers are the favorites to sign Mulder

I think this thread would be a lot more explosive and fun
if we hadn’t just signed Kendall to a horrible contract.

Can't hurt
Somebody’s gotta start for Omaha, and the good arms aren’t quite there yet.
Murphy was an optimist.

Love this deal, even though Humber probably won't pan out
Seems like Humber has been rumored to be dealt in every big deal for years.

Brandon Phillips...
was a failed prospect? I thought he was part of the Big 3 Deal for Bartolo Colon? I dont remember him playing much for the Indians, figured they traded him before he got a shot.

Indians gave up on him
and he resurrected his career in Cinci.
