Can't see it
The Angels would have to eat a TON of money for us to afford it unless they took back Jose Guillen, who they have already released for being a dick. Can’t see it happening thankfully.

I'm not sure what I think about it.
I doubt GMDM would trade for him, but with the Dodgers moving Pierre and 9 million, you never know what could happen.

I mean... look at it this way....
RamRam for CoCo.
Leo for Jacobs.
JoGui for $12 million/year.
JP Howell for Gathright…
You get the idea…

Matthews is so horrible (How horrible is he?)
His cumulative WAR over the first three years of his contract is -1.1 wins:
2007 0.5 WAR
2008 -0.8 WAR
2009 -0.8 WAR
Even Jose Guillen has a positive WAR (+0.4) over those three years.
So you're saying he's an RF upgrade?
He might be a +2 player. I mean +2 runs above replacement.
(And yes, I know Guillen was more valuable over the last three seasons)
I love how this is announced… “He’s available!” Oh, really? What about Jason Schmidt? Or Barry Zito? Or Vernon Wells? Any chance those guys can be pried away from their teams?
I'm not a sabermetrician, but I do play one at FanGraphs.
