Royals Opening Day Lineups from 2009-1990. Fun as hell. Don't worry, you only have to enter Sweeney once and he shows up however many times.

This was really fun

Sadly, I only got 125. The early 90’s really got me

Damn, that was tough.

I used to work with an old man that told me. Son, every workplace has a dumbass, if you don't have one where you work, then I'm afraid you're it.

I knew Mientkiewicz, but I couldn’t spell his name. I forgot Goodwin, Gagne, Gaetti, and Ibanez. This was really fun.

Pecota, watch over us.

But I also couldn’t spell Mientkiewicz, though it only cost me a point. The only obvious one I missed was Saberhagen, and the most numerous one (though less obvious) was Goodwin. Somehow I got Kirk Gibson which was one of the most missed overall. I actually don’t feel badly about the rest that i missed given the time limit.

Missed a couple Bip Roberts, and Shealy (!), and Dee Brown, Belcher, and a bunch of other random crap.

This space for rent.

“Can’t believe I forgot Brian McRae, Jose Lind and Jose Offerman”

Wow, I missed those exact same three.

Anyone else surprised Zack has never started opening day, but Hector Ortiz has?

Ortiz

was the only opening day starter I missed in my 131. I lived out of state in the mid 90’s and really lost track of those teams. Even players I liked like Joyner and Palmer escaped me. I got McRae and Offerman, but missed most of the early 90s stallwarts like Gaetti and Gagne.

Shealy was my most recent miss as well. I kept thinking “It’s the guy we wanted to start more than Ross Gload” but it never came to mind.

Who remembered that Brandon Berger start in RF, which I believe included a HR off of Weaver, whom Berger always owned at the plate?

If you look closely, it really says "CentralChamps2012."

Shealy was my most recent miss too

And it bugged me. Why can’t I remember who our starting 1B was in 2005???

How could you forget chico

I’m most proud of remembering that Felix Jose started in right.

At least Wally Joyner's not on the team....

I like that I pressed Brown to get Emil

And was surprised to see Dee once started opening day.

How could I forget about Brandon Berger?

The string of opening-day catchers through the 90’s outside of Macfarlane really screwed me.

At least Wally Joyner's not on the team....
