2009: The Way We Were
Just an unbelievably active year here at Royals Review. New front-page contributors Darren (nwroyal) and Matt (marbotty) helped give us the most active year in site history. Thanks to everyone who posted and commented. It was a blast.
Honestly, 2009 was probably one of the craziest years in Royals history: Greinke's Cy Young season, a bazillion baffling moves, the Ranyban, the George Brett tirade, the Alex Gordon saga, etc. etc.
Below the jump lies a huge list of some of the more noteworthy RR posts of 2009, beginning in January.

the $11 over/under question was the best moment of the year by far...
and i think all of the stories Will linked were moderator posts….though I could be wrong (too lazy to look for real).

4th was Hochevar letting the runner go to 3rd while he was yelling at himself in his head
on the way back to the mound.
Further cementing Joshers as my least favorite Royal of all time.

Yeah, and what about MUSTACHE
Or my “I Quit As A Royals Fan” mad lib or my exquisite coverage of the brief lack of Royals on TV in Omaha (which should have won a Pulitzer)? I feel cheated.
I read the related article on the sidebar about d_f's "Little Things" stat
and it was really interesting. I would love to know if there is an update on that at all or if there are standings for 2009 for “Little Things”.
Small positive: Jason Kendall was 18th in the majors in “Little Things” in 2008
yes
On the road now, but google “fangraphs little things 2009” and it should come up
I'm not a sabermetrician, but I do play one at FanGraphs.
