The Office Open Thread - Season Five Episode 16 Open Thread

Lecture Circuit: Michael and Pam continue their tour of the branches with Michael taking a lesson from his visit to Utica.

  • So, I'm trying to imagine the time-line of an admittedly inconsistent and totally imaginary universe, but just how quickly did it take Karen to remarry? Was she engaged to new guy, what, three months after breaking up with Jim?
  • I haven't seen any deleted scenes, but it looks like the writers were trying to setup a she married a guy that looks just like Jim joke, but for whatever reason nothing came of it.
  • Of course, all things in Pam & Jim's world have to come back to being reaffirmations, so somehow, Karen's hasty wedding gave us a testimonial from Pam about how now she has no doubts or regrets about stealing Jim from Karen.
  • I saw this on Gleeman -- who is also pro-Office -- but it looks like there's an "adult" version/parody/really no connection in any way (NSFW) set for release. The boss/Michael character is female, for example. Really, the only true connection to the show is that it looks like there is a Dwight-type character. There is no Stanley.
