OT - Royals bloggers on Twitter?
I'm still trying to decide if Twittering is a worthwhile pursuit. The sole reason I signed up at first was to read Shaq's feed, which is amazing. For 2 months, I did nothing else with my Twitter account, but have been using it more the last couple weeks.
Someone asked me the other day if there are other Royals bloggers who Twitter. I know that JoePo does (as does his wife!), but beyond that...I don't know.
So....do any of you use Twitter? Have any feelings one way or another about it? Is it a ridiculous waste of time? Hopelessly dorky? Kind of fun? Totally addictive?

Yes, I would like to know
what the f-ck Twitter is, since it does come up. Just another interactive stalker’s tool?

+100
I have a passing familiarity with myspace and facebook, but I’ve never used either, except to view a few things. But while I’ve heard of Twitter, I know absolutely nothing about it. Clearly I’m too old.

I have too many addictions already
They are all legal and there aren’t any 12-step programs for any of them. But I don’t need to add another.

no
But there is an, ahem, Johnny Giavotella Fan Club page.
Not that I had anything to do with that.

Great another group I have to join
As if my Facebook account, wasn’t a display of bipolarity, sports addiction, and off-kilter humor already. I would Twitter something about it, but alas I don’t find blurbs about my every action to be that exciting. Now Shaq on the other hand, he’s a piece of work.

I was the one who asked you
I don’t know, I’m kind of amused by twitter, but I don’t know any “real” people who use it or who would want to follow me. THE_REAL_SHAQ is truly amazing, though. If Greinke would somehow sign up we could really be in business.
It's like this, you see.
I can only be bothered to update my facebook status once in a blue moon — hell, I update my LiveJournal far more often — so what possible use could I ever have for Twitter?
This space for rent.
A few of my favorite left-leaning political blogs "twittered" the Dem Convention
I find it highly annoying and not very useful. Most of the “twitters” were pretty short and unintelligible and didn’t provide much of any content. I guess I don’t see how it is better than a blog post?

I never understood the point of Twitter
If you can read a blog, why do you want to just see a “sound bite”?

I've never even looked at Twitter.
but I understand that Lance Armstrong is on there.

and like a window-shopping dork, thought it would be cool to follow him.
Yawn.

I was never a Shaq fan
In fact, I strongly disliked him for a very long time. His Twitter feed has changed my mind completely.
WTF, self?
Does Shaq
weave extra Qs into his tweets? Are they truly Shaqtastic?

I dislike Twitter
It’s bad enough that people text during ballgames and concerts, but on Twitter they can have a texting conversation with everyone else in attendance of the game that’s also on Twitter. So they never need to watch the game or concert. My neighbor did this when we went to see a show last year. I was really annoyed by it.
And what I really find odd about it, is that people use it to tell you what they are doing right now. If I really wanted to now, I would have called you. But thanks for letting me know that you are so self-important.
In my own defense,
If I’m Twittering at a sporting event – like a hockey game – I only do it when the puck is dead, or between periods. Not everyone rolls that way, I know, but I try to be unobtrusive.
And I never EVER have my phone out during a movie or play or concert. That’s rude, even to a young snot like me.
WTF, self?
i use
facebook, myspace and a slew of less well known site to promote my various musical endeavors. twitter seems like a great way to always seem like you haven’t updated your stuff in forever. with the first two, you can get away with checking it once or twice a day and still seem on top of them. with twitter, you’ve gotta update the thing once or twice an hour. if you’re really into updating stuff, go for it.
