Washington Post Love
"Even less-followed teams with less-than-stellar records are represented on the site. Iowa native Will McDonald recently moved to the District but still keeps up his blog following the Kansas City Royals. To strike a common chord with fans, he writes short profiles of towns that have Royals contingencies. He's finishing his dissertation on 18th-century poetry but finds time to write two or three posts a day."

If you believe in Royals Nation, he exists
And if you close your eyes and wish really hard, he might appear before you. Spooky.

Hmmm
“Even less-followed teams with less-than-stellar records are represented on the site. Iowa native Will McDonald recently moved to the District but still keeps up his blog following the Kansas City Royals”
Are they insinuating the Royals have had less than stellar records???
Just more slander from the liberals in their glass towers at the Washington Post, always ready to slam middle America!

heh
but the Washington Post is (or was) actually owned by the Moonies, and is a well-known neoconservative stronghold (although neocons are really liberals, anyway). I think they’re just attacking the Royals because of their proximity to that well-known bastion of progressive thought (just ask them!), Lawrence.

You're thinking of the Washington Times
It is owned by Rev. Moon and is very conservative.
WaPo admittedly has a slightly liberal bent IMO.

If you’re ever again in the same room as Hugh Panero, could you please ask him what the hell were they thinking at XM Radio?
