They will be.

Sarpy county will get their proposal for the ice rink and stadium done. The Lancers and Royals will become Sarpy county fixtures for years. I’ll add this bet to anyone who wants to take it. Might be a little unfair as I am friends with someone who is actually dealing with it but if there are any takers please name the bet.

I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.

i hope you are right

sarpy county would be a shorter drive too. much closer than the east side of Omaha

I'm glad for you guys

I guess, but I’m guessing that minor league stadiums/etc. are about as much of an “economic benefit” as major league sports facilities.

I wish I could start a business and then get the taxpayers to fund it.

Bringing you more-or-less replacement level analysis and commentary since sometime in 2008.

Lancers

just signed an agreement with Omaha and MECA to play in Omaha’s Civic auditorium at least for the 2009-2010 season. I know that an ice rink in Sarpy could still be a possibility, but it will be tougher to bring the Lancers out there.

Not really

Lancers played near 72nd street so moving them out to Sarpy wouldn’t be that big of a stretch plus a new ice arena would probably be more inviting than the Civic.

I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.

I like the Civic for hockey

I am still cranky UNO moved to the Qwest. The Civic has great lighting and good sight lines. I think with the money they are talking about pumping into renovating it, it would still be better for UNO than that cavern called the Qwest Center.

There are the two UNO games

at the Civic coming up. I’ve never been to a Mavs game at the Civic, so I’m curious to see which I like better.

WTF, self?

Oooh, I like loud and energy.

Yep, I should be at both of them, with one or two of my brothers.
