Around SBN: Hugh Douglas Admits To Stealing From Jaguars

Interesting tidbits:

- He's a submariner with a surprisingly small platoon split.

- He keeps a detailed account of everything he does as a pitcher, constantly evaluating his performance and approach.

- Throughout both parts of the interview, both Rany and Hayes talk about how he's not a strikeout pitcher and that he puts a lot of balls in play and how this might be a problem under DIPS theory. But at no point do either of them recognize that DIPS theory recognizes that extreme groundball pitchers (like most submariners, including Hayes) maintain a consistently lower than average BABIP. I can understand Hayes not knowing this, but does Rany not know this? This isn't exactly sabermetric arcana.

- Best quote from part 2: "A reliever mustache is earned, it's not a right." -- Chris Hayes

- The best thing about Hayes: he and Rowdy Hardy are very good friends. (a great bowling story/joke lies within)
