Where: MLB Network. Find out if it's carried in your area by using the channel locator here.

When do they roll the tape: 8:30 PM EDT, 7:30 PM CDT, etc.

Gametime: 4:00 EDT, 3:00 CDT, sometime or other in Arizona, 1:00 PDT.

The set-up: Royals in Scottsdale to face the Giants. Luke Hochevar starts, with Heath Phillips and Jimmy Gobble to follow. Barry Zito for the contractually obligated Giants.

My onscreen guide says “blackout”. Whatever that means in ST context. Let’s see, both teams are actually away from their home market and stadium. Am I missing something? It will be absurd if people in KC or SF can’t see this game on tv for some reason.

Well, I'm currently in the Philly region

and the ST game earlier today was blacked out because it was on a local channel. So maybe only if it’s on elsewhere. MLBN seems like they just take the local feed too.

Hochevar's Start on Friday Some thoughts on the start from Hochevar which was on TV!!! The second game I got to see this spring. He still had trouble with the location of his fastball. It was everywhere. He was missing inside on the outside pitch call and vice versa. When he threw the sinker he missed down, but when it got hit, it was belt high. Obvious assessment there... but watch him and chart him once, you'll know what I mean is deeper than surface level. He had problems in the first once he got 2 outs. Same problem as last year.... But he took care of it in the next two. Let's get that figured out. Once Olivo realized that the fastball/sinker wasn't working with location, they started going to the change and curve. Both of which were great. I hope we use those more this season. One other observation was all the talk that Jacobs and CoCo have become the clubhouse leaders. Hmmmm...... Maybe that makes the trades a little better for you Dayton haters? We now have new leadership in the clubhouse.... at the price of Leo Nunez and RamRam. Thoughs? Comments?
