They can have Buck or Olivo, and heck...we'll even throw in Gobb...

I don't know Boston's system that well

What do they have in terms of a prospect that fits the Royals’ needs and is a reasonable return on Buck/Olivo/Pena?

Do you think they are just looking for a fill-in/backup? Or are they trying to locate Varitek’s true sucessor and targeting someone more like Saltalamaccia (I’ll be floored if I spelled that right) or Teagarden?

And we'll throw in Farnsworth?

Or would that be a poison pill?

If the Red Sox actually want someone who could catch Wakefield's knuckeballs

…then the Royals have no one to offer. Well, maybe Olivo but unfortunately he’s likely untouchable. What a shame.

Who do the Sox have in their system...

that could play adequate-to-good SS defense and not absolutely embarrass himself (a la TPJ) with his bat at the major league level?

No one who is major league ready

Their best SS prospect is Casey Kelly, age 19. Their second based SS prospect is Derek Gibson, also age 19.

Crap

Depth behind Aviles is still my biggest concern (personnel-wise) heading into the season.
