Michael quit? How did he not get fired beforehand?
How do you see this playing out?
Other thoughts on the episode?

It was an...
…interesting ending, that’s for sure. I liked Jim being the odd guy out this episode. And Dwight trying to be the smoothy was funny. – TL

There was a new episode of The Office?
I don’t know if you know this, but there are 16 college basketball games being played today. When I saw that my DVR was recording the office, I thought it was odd that NBC was showing new episodes, and wondered who would actually watch a sitcom tonight. It seems to be pretty much the same target audience as the NCAA tournament. I guess we have at least one answer of who doesn’t watch the Tournament.

Maybe I'm just more of a NCAA Tournament junkie...
I wouldn’t say today’s games have been “mostly boring.” The games on right now aren’t all that great, but early in the day there was LSU-Butler, Cal State Northridge pushing Memphis to the limit, UNI trying to upset Purdue, and a Maryland-Cal game that was better than the final score indicates. And during the time The Office was on, you could have been watching a Texas-Minnesota game that was close for the first 25 minutes, a Gonzaga-Akron game that was close for the first 30 minutes, a Michigan-Clemson game that was decided by three points, or American threaten an upset for most of the game before a late run by Villanova.

Don't have a dog in this fight but
Texas had their game locked down 10 minutes into it.
If you were thinking, you wouldn't have thought that.

I pretty much agree on that one. Even when it was close, I expected Texas to pull away. And with Michigan-Clemson, even when Michigan had a decent lead, I expected Clemson to come back and make it close (although I thought all along that Michigan would pull it out).

I'm a tourney junkie...
but my DVR records both
That's why we play the season on paper.

what about the parts of the game that weren't close?
i had scores up online, but it was a nice 30 minute respite
villanova-american was interesting, but it was obvious through the 2nd half that villy would win and frankly, i’m glad i didn’t have it on b/c i was already furious about nova getting to play in philly
duke and unc getting to play in north car EVERY year is also getting old

But Villanova only played 3 home games on that court.
Agree that’s it’s a little ridiculous for Villanova to be playing in Philly. I’m not against the top seeds getting to play close to home, but it shouldn’t actually be AT home.
If Greensboro and Boise are going to host games every years (it seems like), there should be a new rule that only one of Duke/UNC can play at Greensboro, and the other one gets sent to Boise. Or Dayton, they always seem to be hosting, too.

i agree too
i love the tourney, the only reason i missed it was because of the fact that UCLA was playing during the damn episode.

I watched The Office tonight.
I guess not liking basketball makes me wonder who wouldn’t watch The Office tonight.

I really don't care how it ends up
seems iike they see the Pam/Jim storyline as a sunk cost, which is nice.
And if anyone can identidy sunk costs these days, it’s Royals fans.
Bringing you more-or-less replacement level analysis and commentary to Driveline Mechanics and elsewhere since sometime in 2008.

If that's a sunk cost,
how do they recover?
If you were thinking, you wouldn't have thought that.
