Meche is a little wild today, although Denny was saying it is a small strike zone.
Go Royals!
by BabyBlues on Apr 1, 2009 5:11 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
They were saying that yesterday as well
Apparently the strike zone has been small all of ST

I beg to differ.

This Is A
Good lineup without Jacobs. Nice to have him in reserve.

Much more excited about having Spork available
to come in and get a clutch single!!

How About Sporqie
To 2b, Teahen to RF and Guillen to the bench?
I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.
by philofthenorth on Apr 1, 2009 5:42 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
I'd rather take my chance that Guillen connects and
the ball leaves the yard, there’s like a 100% better chance of him doing that than Bloomy.

I'm Talking Late
Inning defensive moves. You know he’ll do it.
I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.

Totally missed that one, sorry
Yes, I agree that we might see the Spork come in as a late-inning defensive replacement and move Teahen to RF. Though, I could also see him bringing the Spork in and not removing Guillen…unfortunately.

Or we may see what happened today
Spork in RF for Guillen, Teahen stays at 2B

Just want to get Teahen some reps at 2B.

Waechter in to reliquish the lead.
Go Royals!
by BabyBlues on Apr 1, 2009 5:28 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Waechter has one 1-2-3 inning, and lowers his era over 3 and a half runs.
Go Royals!

That shows you how ridiculous the stats are in ST

If you haven't do so already
go out to the Royals team page on MLB.com and listen to the interview with Hillman about the 2B battle.
Report back with the part that scares you the most, it should be easy to identify.

Did he say
“I wasn’t aware of any of those leading categories”?? He is aware of Teahen’s outstanding spring I hope…. I also hope he is aware of the fact that Willie sucks.
by FretFriendly on Apr 1, 2009 6:31 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
He said it, but i don't believe him
He knows, just doesn’t want people to believe that he holds stock in ST stats.

It's absolutely no surprise
Trey has an absolute boner for Willie Ballgame just like we knew he would from the day the signed this “winner” who is an “obp guy”. The only thing saving us currently is the Teahen experiment. We need to support that or you’ll see Willie trotted out every single day. Especially since Trey no longer has Gload appearances to cool (or heat up?) his ardor.

How come they put his first initial in the box score?
Same with DeJesus, do we have more than one Aviles and DeJesus on the roster?

Like that he only gave up 3 hits, dislike that he walked 4 in 4 IP.

I know we lead the league in HR's this spring
or at least did at one time, but I’d like to know how many have been solo shots. All 5 today were with the bases empty.
