Vintage Performance from MacDougal tonight vs. Minnesota
Check out his line....in particular, the balls/strikes ratio. Perfection!

MacDougal is a train wreck
Usually injured, and when he’s not injured, he can’t throw strikes. He’ll probably end up spending most of the season in the minors or on the DL as he did the last two years. And the Sox will have the pleasure of paying him $2.65M for this.

I'm pretty astounded
He made the opening day club. They must not have any kind of bullpen depth. Still, there have been some guys (Dan Giese, Tyler Walker come to mind) on waivers that are much, much better than MacDougal.

ERA of 54.01?
Anything over 54 is ridiculous!!
is that your cutoff point? I mean, it's just a little bit over...

Anybody notice that MacDougal has lost velocity too?
I’m sure we all remember MacDougal’s fireball velocity back in his early days with the Royals:
2002 96.3 mph (avg. FB velocity)
2003 95.8
Injuries and aging have clearly taken their toll on Mac:
2007 93.2
2008 93.9
2009 92.8
He’s just dwindling away before our eyes. At least he’s made some money. I hope he saved it.
