not encouraging any shennaigans, just liked the part he wrote at the top.

"...8,000 cold Kansas City residents were chanting "Let's go, Royals!" And they meant it. They were watching their boys eviscerate the presumptive divisional favorites, and they felt a sea change."

I am despised on that site

so please no trash talking (not that I expect any)

Can we trash talk them here?

It would certainly appear that, after reading their responses to your posts and then the little comment posted above, that their posters are complete and utter douchebags.

I wouldn't go that far

I actually think the community is pretty similar to the one here. For that very reason, I thought I was welcome there, and used to comment there a lot, which apparently was a miscalculation. Its no biggie.

OK

An awful lot of trash-talking and baiting from a multitude of posters. Something that has never been instigated at this website against fans from other teams, let alone administrator’s of an entire blog devoted to other teams, at least from what I’ve seen. I’d like to think that we’re classier than that. That first exchange between you and those baiters was just completely unnecessary. Not on your part – but because they instigated it, and it didn’t need to happen. Evidently they couldn’t handle an ironically humorous and sarcastic piece essentially defending their team and their own player against media distortions.

Sorry, the Royals won 3 in a row! I need to be pissed off about something.

They are probably feeling pretty bad right now

And lashing out in all kinds of directions because of it.

Cleveland has as big an inferiority complex as Kansas City

If not bigger. Years of being known as “the mistake by the lake”. Cleveland is actually a wonderful city.

Cleveland has some nice places

…chief among them being the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. I actually almost went to college outside of Cleveland. There are plenty of way worse places in the midwest than there.

Cleveland

and all of Ohio for the matter are NOT midwest…

I've got crazy flipper fingers!

Yeah, midwest is the name of a region, not a map quadrant

If one were to look at a map of the U.S. and estimate what the mid-west is, I certainly wouldn’t say Missouri. It isn’t very “west” at all. Mid-west would be about Colorado. The region we call “midwest” is an historical, traditional designation, which has always included Ohio.

Rust Belt.

Old and falling apart.

If you were thinking, you wouldn't have thought that.

And they compete well with New York!

They’re high school graduation rates are almost as high as those in the Bronx!

what, when did that happen?

You’ve always seemed pleasantlly disposed towards the Shapiro F.O. and the Indians in general.

From what I remember

it was mostly RR’s “Rafael Betancourt Destroyed Our National Innocence” post. They clearly misunderstood his trademark sarcasm and disdain for the national media in that piece.

I love cleveland

it’s a great place to play live music and attend shows. good bars, neat old architecture. I wasn’t trying to instigate anything, i ‘subscribe’ to all the division SBNation sites, just to see whats going on. which is why i posted the above, just as a heads up.
