Bannister Throws 7 innings of Shut out ball
Bannister involved in a pitchers' duel with Felipe Paulino...unfortunately, RR favorite Carlos Rosa is unable to hold on to the win.
Nice to see Lubanski tearing up the early PCL season as well..

My thoughts on that game
(of which, I’ve only seen the box score)
1. Bannister >>> HoRam
2. Rosa is the goods. If any reliever other than Soria goes down, I’m confident Rosa can step in and the bullpen won’t miss a beat.
3. Lubanski is fool’s gold.

I think #1 is Chapter 1 of his agent's Boras-like hardbound he's preparing for Banny's PA
Chapter 2: "The American SIdney Ponson:

Lubanski
He was considered a fairly elite prospect at one time wasn’t he? Was that legit or was he inflated by being the proverbial “shiniest turd” in the Royals awful minor league system?
We always did feel the same, We just saw it from a different point of view, Tangled up in blue.

He was a first round draft pick and he was one of the best prospects in a horrible Royals minor league system at one point. But I don’t think he was ever an elite prospect MLB-wide.

Yeah, and I'll jump on TPJ's bandwagon if he's hitting like that in July too
Neither will happen.

That walk rate (or relative lack thereof) stands out
but I dunno — shouldn’t it be higher in the minors than one assumes in the majors?
