HoRam ERA update

9.43
Glad spring training stats don’t count or he might not have been the 5th starter.
DM understands spring training stats don’t count.

Go Royals!

BTW - thought this was interesting.

According to BB reference, every team in the AL Central except the Indians had a winning record against lefties.

Chicago 31-20
Minnesota 29-24
Cleveland 21-23
Kansas City 36-24
Detroit 26-22

It’s much more important to have GOOD pitchers no matter what hand they throw with. Of course just about everybody here understands that already.

Let's hope so!

So, I guess the philosophy is that having a LH starter “makes” the other pitchers better (or at least suck less).

COSTA NOW

Odds Costa makes the team?

I’m saying 3 to 1…much better now that it looks like we might carry 11 pitchers instead of 12.

I'd rather be watching baseball.

I still say if one of the catchers is going...

it’s Buck.

I'd be okay with that

Buck and Olivo are pretty much interchangeable (other than their arms)…and Pena looks like he could easily handle the back up duties.

I'd rather be watching baseball.

the other option I think..

Is that DM grabs someone off of waivers and keeps him.

Go Royals!

if we can find a roster spot for Eddie Harris

Crisco...Bardol...Vagisil

Any one of them will give you another two to three inches drop on your curve ball. Of course if the umps are watching me real close I’ll rub a little jalapeno up my nose, get it runnin’, and if I need to load the ball up I just…wipe my nose.

mmm, glad we took these extra spring training games as a way to get Teahen some more time at 2nd.

oh wait, playing him at DH for 3 innings and then pitch hitting for him instead.

Go Royals!

Predicted Star headline about this game tomorrow:

HILLMAN, MOORE SATISFIED WITH RAMIREZ OUTING

They will go on to laud how he managed to eat 6 innings, and also laud his fine control since he allowed only one walk. Throw in some mumbo jumbo about how he was working on ________, and the story practically writes itself.

Mr Glass, this is a pro sports team, not a retail store - run it like one!
