Can we Boycott Farnsworth?
Is there any way, by internet and word-of-mouth, to get noticeable masses of Royals fans to exit the K whenever Kyle Farnsworth enters a game? Trey and Dayton can't possibly be stubborn enough to keep pitching the guy in the face of a full fan revolt, can they?
It's a shame that Dayton has committed 9 million dollars to this man, but enough's enough. He needs to be forced to admit he made a mistake and not make the fan base suffer for it any further.

I Said This
In another way in another thread. He is a sunk cost and a mistake. He’s already cost us at least two game; that’s a bad season for a bad middle reliever. DFA him and move on; it’s Wallie money. Actually pitching him just compounds the mistake.
I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.

IDEA
How about when he comes in to pitch at home games, everyone stands up and faces the other direction?

Or when he pitches...
We should all get up and move to the new outfield seats.
The smart fans will be moving there for their souvenir anyways.

No, unfortunately
the option is for ’11, with a $500k buyout. I think the total guaranteed is about $9.25MM.

I'd like to see a prediction contest to see who lasts longer in a Royals uniform
Farnsworth or Hillman
Bringing you more-or-less replacement level analysis and commentary to Driveline Mechanics and elsewhere since sometime in 2008.

Its an interesting conundrum (sp?)
Farnsy is the highest paid reliever thanks to DMGM, correct? so, by not using him in high leverage situations, Trey’d be basically calling his boss an idiot, while he’d look smart…but by using him, at least they BOTH look stupid, so he’s not just throwing the boss under the bus. Team player!!!

quote from Poz linked in first one:
I will also pass along what one longtime observer of Farnsworth said: “The good news is it’ll reduce wear and tear on Joakim Soria’s arm. Because now, he will never, ever be given a lead.”
Prophesy??

Didn't think this would be possible,
but he is certain to garner louder boos at the K than anything ever thrown at Albie Lopez, Brett Tomko, Mark Davis, or post-KC Johnny Damon.

I have no sympathy for Farnsworth,
but the blame should go towards DMGM for signing him and Trey for using him in such crucial spots.

I still feel bad for hating Farnsworth.
He’s not trying to give up bombs, I just don’t think he can control. He just isn’t very good.
Is he a dick? I honestly don’t know.
If you were thinking, you wouldn't have thought that.

Farnsworth has never had any control
I am a Cubs fan and let me tell you Farnsworth’s control has always been zero. When he came into the game I knew the Cubs would lose. In regards to his temper: after one of his usual bad efforts he punched a fan in the dugout with his pitching hand slicing it open on the blade.
