PrintThrough six innings, the offense has looked sort of feeble. Check that - they've looked incredibly feeble. The pressure has been on Bannister all night, with only a one-run cushion with which to work. Will it be enough? Will the Royals bats ever come through? On a scale of 1-10, how gushy will the next edition of JoePo's BannyLog be?

I doubt he’ll be able to throw shutout baseball every time out (duh), but I’m impressed. If Hoch’s improvement is for real, then we have 6 legitimate starting pitchers.
Unless last night was more indicative of Ponson’s true performance.

And that’s only if Jhonny Peralta made a terrible throw (which he did, of course, but Shoppach made a great play on the ball to catch it.
