Game 16 Overflow Thread

It's been a helluva start to the season for Mike Aviles.

Question: would he have scored anyway on that play?

I think this game is demonstrating the relative value of starters versus relievers. Of course, I may not feel that way in an hour.

Guys.

We’re witnessing greatness. How often in this city do we get that chance? I mean, not local greatness, but true greatness. A few years ago with Priest Holmes and the touchdown record, that was a feeling of greatness.

But I’m talking about the kind of dominance that leaves opponents and scouting reports on the floor. We are really witnessing the single greatest series of starts in Royals history.

I love Wacko Zacko.

Amazing game for Zach.

Cubs’ fan (dtpollitt on BCB) over here in Lawrence working on a graduate degree @ KU. Heading out to the game tomorrow and gonna post a full recap of the NEW Kauffman over on BCB tomorrow night. I really love this Royals’ pitching staff and am excited for their season—puh-lease beat up on the White Sox this year. KC is quickly becoming my favorite AL team. Congrats on a good start.

Their pitching staff sucks.

I think the Dodgers have the best 1-8 lineup in baseball this year, and I sure as hell don’t wanna see them in the playoffs again in 2009, but I’m not afraid of all at Randy Wolf & Co.

Greinke projections

Since the season is not even 10% complete, we can conservatively project Zack’s final stats to be 40 wins, 0 losses, 0.00 ERA and 360 strikeouts. Not bad.
