Vote on the location for the new AAA Royals stadium
The poll is on the lower right hand side of the page. Hwy 75 and Chandler Road is in Bellevue, 126th Street and Hwy 370 is in Papillion, and Southport West at I-80 and Giles Road is in La Vista. I fully expect non-Nebraskans to choose based on which city name goes with their preferred new team nickname.

The answer is obvious
I mean, you can’t go wrong with Papillion Royals, can you?
This space for rent.
OK, but I still think it is fun to come up with brand new nicknames.
What about “Bellevue Bombers”, a tribute to Offutt AFB and STRATCOM in Bellevue? Let’s see, what else is Bellevue known for? An early fur trading post. Bellevue Furries?
Maybe Papillion could go with the “Monarchs” and every day could be “Tribute to the Negro Leagues” day. Of course, Papillion-La Vista High School would probably be upset. Maybe the Papillion Fighting Butterflies?
Let’s see, La Vista. La Vista. Hmmn. The La Vista Babies (like hasta la vista, baby). Then when JoGui calls the team a bunch of babies, he’ll simply be calling them AAA-quality players.
Sarpy County sure does have some girly city names. Also, for having two cities named after the view, I don’t really think it is all that scenic.

Bellevue Bombers isn't bad
but I think the team should be over on Giles road. Sarpy county, Bellevue cops have such a bad stigma that they need to keep the team as close to Omaha as possible. Plus the access from the interstate would be good for west omaha folks
I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.
I think it is funny
how it was all “Sarpy County” until they actually got the team, and now they’re playing the different cities off of each other.

They are trying to get the best land deal
I find it higly unlikely that it ends up in Bellevue though.
I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.
I will gladly sell my swing vote for...
one of those awesome Warren Buffett bobbleheads. I don’t even like bobbleheads, but I’d be happy to put a miniature Oracle of Omaha in my office.
