Moving their top draft pick from last year, 20 years old, to the bullpen.

Good call guys.

yeah, that is pretty weird...

I thought these were the “new” Mariners—Jack Z. is a smart guy but this doesn’t add up.

Agreed

The Enemy is supposedly a saber-oriented guy, but some moves the M’s have made since he took over are bizarre to see from many angles, including my own.

First Morrow now Aumont sounds like Jack Z has quite a bit of

advanced thinking. Aumonts control is crap anyway so probably not a bad move especially if it can get Morrow back to the rotation.

I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.

it's not like his control is gawd awful

19 walks in 56 innings last year.

he is 20. still relatively new to pitching. the mariners farm system has basically no pitching as it is. moving him to the pen just makes no sense at all at this point.

what is fast tracking him as a reliever going to do anyways? turn a 66 win team into a 67 win team?

The new Mariners do everything the right way

All hail the new Mariners.

Don't forget

They passed up a local kid by the name of Tim Lincecum to get Morrow.

?? I don't get this.

It’s like drafting a power hitting, high average guy and then making him a DH when he’s 20…. oh wait…

Everyone's recruits look better than ours.

C'Mon, this is pitching

The Royals are way too smart to put one of their best young pitchers in the bullpen
