Why Baseball Folks Keep Chasing The Farnsworth Dream
I realize this link might seem like unnecessary piling on after all that's been posted here in the last 24 hours. But this piece helps explain why managers and GMs keep Tightpants employed. - TL

WTF??
“I had them up [in case] he couldn’t throw strikes,” Hillman said. “As soon as he struck out [ Carlos Quentin for the second out], I had Mahay sit down.”
If Hillman doubts whether he can throw strikes then why the fuck is he even being used at all, let alone in the high leverage situation he was? Fuck.

I’ve been saying this. Hillman is not the only stupid one who likes Farnsworth.

To think of all the shirts someone could have sold
through out the years here in KC. I might go set up shop outside Kauffman now that I think about it. Wonder if they trade marked ‘Anybody but Farnsworth.’

Highly doubtful
They must have thought, “Well, no other team would pick him up after this debacle, so why go to the trouble of trademarking it?”
They did not account for Dayton Moore.

Fallacy: ...
…“Yankees fans” and “smart enough” in the same sentence. – TL
