Hitters against Zack

Zack became only the 9th pitcher in the AL/DH era to win 9 consecutive starts, giving up 3 earned runs or less in each start.

Star-divide

The record is held by Johann Santana with 12. The old Royal record was 7, which had been done 4 times. (Saberhagen twice,Rich Gale, and Jose Lima.)

I thought it would be interesting to look at those 9 games from a hitter's perspective.

AB     H     2B     3B     HR     R      RBI       BB     K        BA       OBP     SLG     SB     CS     GIDP     HBP     SH     SF     IBB

232    45    12      1      0       6        4          12      70      .194     .236     .254     0        2         5         1               0      1         0

Of course, there is a longer streak of good starts-hopefully we will still be talking about that well into the future
