Game 38 Open Thread - Orioles (16-21) at Royals (19-18)
Baltimore Orioles at Kansas City Royals, May 17, 2009 2:10 PM EDT
Potentially huge start for Luke Hochevar today as he looks to rebound from a disastrous 2009 debut.
The Orioles counter with Koji Uehara. Against non Red Sox teams, the Orioles are 16-17 this season.
I have an overflow thread automatically scheduled for 2:15 KC time.

I really wonder about Sporqie at SS with Hooch on the mound, though.
I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.
Has Aviles been placed on the DL for the forearm strain or are they just going day to day?

havent' heard anything about DL yet...
they’ll probably re-evaluate him on Tuesday after the off-day and make a decision then.

Great bat control
I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.
Treyball just had an interview about moving him up to the 2 hole.......
his general tone was that he’s resisted doing it so far because Callaspo is more comfortable further down in the lineup…..but sooner or later he had to see how he’ll adjust to a higher spot. Something to that effect.

Did you check your listings for MASN2?
I’m in Baltimore and the Nats are on MASN1, the Orioles/Royals on MASN2. NoVa is definitely MASN territory. If you can’t find it on the listings, look at CSPAN2. That’s what they use for MASN2 up here on Comcast.

it's been pretty ugly as of late
all while the tigers are really hitting their stride, i’m afraid they’re going to run awawy with this division
realistically speaking
agreed...
and..again, you can’t play defense like this when scoring so few runs. We could be in for a prolonged losing skid if we don’t figure this out..

LeFebvre just made a passing reference to
fans who bring their gloves to the game. Can we drink for that?

Minny up 2-0 on NYY....top 7

This team is absolute shit right now.....
Either wasting above avg starts with lack of offense, a failing bullpen, etc. Or better yet having an offense that makes my hungover ass think i could even contribute.
Wait until post game for this.
It’s only the 4th inning.

OVERFLOW is up, not that we really need it...
- W. Bloomquist homered to deep center
- P. Earth explodes
tejeda coming in
Hochevar looking like he’s lost out there………..was he really the #1 prospect when we drafted him?

Standing O for Luke as he walks to the dugout...
Well done Luke. We need to start a AAAA team for Luke.

It would be nice of Tejeda could go a few innings
I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.
