Montgomery makes Burlington debut
Mike Montgomery starts today for Burlington--He was a supplemental 1st round pick last year and I'm really high on him.

Good deal I was waiting for him to get to Burlington for my trip up there.
Hopefully Herrera comes back soon and I can see them both.
I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.
4 Groundouts 0 Flyouts and his one hit was a groundball single
Induced 2 double plays
I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.
He's probably still "learning"
about his stuff, how it moves, etc.
With the K’s will come with a lot of walks, too.
He obviously needs to work on it, but it would appear that nearly everything else is firing on all cylinders.
not worried about walks
I believe 2 were in the first inning of the first start in full season ball—I bet he was a little nervous/pumped up. New Monty has great control.
it's way too early to get worried about anything
on the other hand, it’s also way to early to get excited, either

Pops over at RC said Melville got shipped to Burlington too.
Could see him later this week.

Mike Lehmann got the start on Monday
Looks like the Bees are turning over their rotation. Who will be the guys to move out? Zach Peterson has to be one for sure. Couldn’t figure out why he was in the rotation anyway?
Really like the looks of:
Montgomery, Lehmann, K. Herrera, Melville and Casey. Use Fisher and Cota to piggy back starts for the pitch count kids.
Burlington needs hitting a lot more than it needs pitching
As a team, Burlington is hitting a putrid .220/.296/.317. I know that the Midwest League has never been hitter friendly, but that line is unacceptably awful. It’s the minor league equivalent of batting nine TPJ’s in your order.
Oh, and Eric Hosmer. 0 for 5 last night with 5 K’s, which lowers his line to .221/.341/.315 on the year. Someone remind me again why we drafted him over this guy?
Waiting for April.
Easy... wasn't Moustakas' overall line even worse than that at this point last season?
Someone remind me again why we drafted him over this guy?
