If you asked me without looking at numbers, I’d have to say it seems like Crisp has a hit every game. Like tonight ,

I'm not a sabermetrician, but I do play one at Driveline Mechanics.

by Matt Klaassen on May 20, 2009 11:08 PM EDT reply actions

crap, didn't mean to post that

just that Crisp has a couple hits tonight. Nothing deep, and BA doesn’t matter, just sort of surprised by his BA being under .250 when it seems like he’s alsays getting hits.

I'm not a sabermetrician, but I do play one at Driveline Mechanics.

by Matt Klaassen on May 20, 2009 11:10 PM EDT up reply actions

If I had to, I’d guess he’s hitting .320 or so. Weird.

Nobody to take Trey off the hook tonight

Time for him to own up to his moronic decision.

By the way, I’ve said this 4-5 times this year, but I full expect Pontoon to be DFA’d tomorrow if anyone in this organization has a brain.

by slayor on May 20, 2009 11:40 PM EDT reply actions

I guess I just don't see the same games everyone else does

No team plays perfect games. I’m sure that anything 3 runs or closer has opportunities both teams could have taken advantage of to win the game.

by sterlingice on May 20, 2009 11:43 PM EDT reply actions

true

both teams left a lot of men on base tonight

by XBic on May 20, 2009 11:45 PM EDT up reply actions

I didn't think we necessarily deserved to win tonight

But we didn’t necessarily deserve to lose either. It was a coin flip since we didn’t hit Carmona as hard as he could have but they almost gave it right back to us. How was Wood’s 9th that much different than the 7th. If Wright or Ponson get an out here or there, it’s probably our game to win. But instead, they gave up the lead and try as hard as they could, the Indians bullpen couldn’t tonight.

Time to go out there and win the series tomorrow!
