BOD: Boyfriend of the Day, May 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th
Okay, so I'm getting this out of the way now. And we're going to get April up and then I'm going to do tonight's game. Because God only knows how much I need a distraction from stupid men right now.
May 2nd
Boyfriend of the Day
We are, surprisingly, going with Olivo here! 2 or 4 with a triple and 3 RBI.
Smitten Kitten
Soria, for closing down the game and getting himself the win.
May 3rd
This was the first game in a while that I actually got to pay attention to, so I have anidea of what I'm doing here.
Boyfriend of the Day
I'm going with Jose Guillen on this one. 2 for 3 with 4 RBI, a 3 run shot as well as an RBI double.
Smitten Kitten
We will go with a tie between Meche and Callaspo here, full SK points for both. I just didn't feel like this was the same quality of start that we've come to expect out of Meche, and Callaspo did a lot along with Guillen to help ensure the game fell in our favor.
May 4th
It's obvious who this one is going to but we'll play along anyways!
Boyfriend of the Day
Zack Greinke threw a 9 inning complete shut out. His third of the season. In front of what I felt was one of the most excited crowds to fill Kauffman in a long, long time. I have a feeling that Greinke games are gonna be this way for a while, and I'm not even going to complain despite how much I hate the clostrophobic feeling inside the stadium that results.
Smitten Kitten
David DeJesus gave Greinke all the run support he needed. Yup, just one run. Why? Because Greinke is good enough to only need one run. And I don't even want to hear you guys whining that he didn't do enough. My game, my rules :)
May 5th
Last night was rough, and to be honest I wasn't even sure what to do last night because of everything. But after looking at the box score...
Boyfriend of the Day
I'm going to give this one to Jacobs, who hit a 3 run homer to tie the game up. Without that prowess to make up for the pitching suckitude and the hitting suckitude of other players, our winning streak would have ended last night. (We will curb discussion of Pontoon until later, kay?)
Smitten Kitten
Jamie Wright pitched 3 solid innings of baseball, taking the game and making sure that it stayed tied just long enough for the offense to get it together. You go, Glenn Coco!

I don't think talking about baseball players will help you get away from stupid men

touche
but I’d rather think about these stupid men than stupid men with whom I associate in real life.

I like the pick of Wright
3 awesome innings to bolster the luck of the offense

random OT topic
but as a Utah Jazz fan, I have to ask…how badly do New Orlean(eans?) want that team name back? Because Utah is the beehive state, and the Utah Hornets would be wicked sweeeeet…

Personally
I want it back just because I feel no attachment to the Hornet name that was just attached from the Charlotte days. I’ve used that beehive argument but nobody cared. I think overall though people are starting to grow attached to the name now that the team has been relevant for a couple seasons. But I’d rather something else.

Gotcha
I think Utahns would fight tooth and nail for the Jazz name, unfortunately. They really love the team out there…it’s strange how basketball is such a phenom there but other sports…eh, not a whole lot. Football perhaps, but only at the collegiate level. I didn’t meet a ton of baseball fans, though. And only one or two Royals fans.

The owner of the Jazz back in the day
was actually a pretty huge jerk to New Orleans, so perhaps it’s better to not associate with the name anymore.
