RF's Caption Contest 3: Fernando Wins and I'm gone for 12 days
This is a quick edit. I'm getting ready for a trip in which I'll be gone 12 days so quickly, the winner with 10 recs was Fernando Vina School of Linguistics. Second place was Black and Gold with 8 recs. All right, that's it I'm gone. Back in about a week and a half for another addition of RF's Caption Contest. Peace out! And here are extra words so that this has the minimum 75 and can be published.

Scoring AND winning? Kansas City Royals' Manager Trey Hillman does not understand
……..yes I get to post mine too. It’s unlikely I’ll win so why not? Don’t judge me. Oh and competition “ends” at midnight tomorrow.

My stories a lot like yours only more interesting because it involves robots!
Kansas City Royals' catcher Miguel Olivo
is congratulated by coaches and teammates after winning a “Yo Momma”-style dissing battle with manager Trey Hillman during Kansas City’s 9-0 Wednesday night. Hillman (also pictured) was visibly upset for a few innings after Olivo’s witty jab regarding Hillman’s “$5.00 Wal-Mart brand Hoodie.”

Hold it down guys.
I know my mom make a great spread for the clubhouse when I homer, but I will have to let Gil be first in line unless Jose wants to give me his suite on the next road trip.

Olivo gets congratulated by teammates after he takes the league lead
in striking out and making it to first base, and passed balls, all in the same game.
Miggy Says:
DAMMIT EVERYBODY Get outta the way I’m lookin’ for Greinke — gotta thank him for showing me that Homerun video Tuesday morning.

Upon returning to the dugout after a HomeRun that....
essentially put the game out of reach for the Indians, it was observed that while Try Hillmans’ hand was attempting a congratulatory butt slap to his favoritest catcher, his mustache was trying to undo what was done by signaling to the bull pen for Jaime Wright. The mustaches’ treachery knows no bounds.

Olivo stands in victory of the corpse of "Muserball"
Milk, cookies and prayer works after all bitch.
Trey realizes the moustache, along with all the vestiges of Muserdom, must now go the way of the dinosaurs. Taps playing softly in the background, defensive 1st basemen everywhere observe 1 minute of silence.

Gibbons: Miggy! Nice job. I can't believe you talked him into wearing the sweatshirt.
Olivo: I told him Bobby Cox wears them all the time. He understood it was the best way to keep his job. Little does he know, DM thinks hoodies are for pagans.
Trey Says
“Don’t get too excited, i’m about to put Jamey Wright in”

Olivos reaction....
to finding out the royals will have the worst record and be able to draft Bryce Harper in the 2010 draft.
Feeling on top of the world after homering,
Miguel Olivo takes a quick survey of his teammates and coaches:
“Raise your hand if you’re glad that Horacio Ramirez is off the team!”
Manager Trey Hillman (also pictured) has not spoken to Olivo since the incident.

I think it would be a good idea to hold of on voting until there are several entries...
then vote so as not to induce an unfair vote, kinda like American Idol

I agree with you in part
But I think people come back to read new entries, which is how Fernando’s masterpiece just a few comments up got 7 recs in lightning speed. I think I might due an “Overtime Poll” or something, because there are a ton of good ones in here.

There are just way too many funny things going on.

Miggy’s buttcheek clench in anticipation of Trey’s open handed butt slap.
Gibbbbbbbbb’s Jay Leno chin.

thanks for the rec Mario
and you were totally correct about the Mt. Rainier vs. Mt. Hood thing.
wish we could chat sometime I’ve got lots of extended family out there in the Pac NW from Portland area all the way up towards Concrete, and even into Victoria BC. Over there around Port Townsend as well.
I hiked and camped across Olympic National Forest from Dosewallips Trail to the Pacific Ocean via Hoh Glacier back when I was HARDCORE. (young and dumb and full of ….something that rhymes with “dumb”) while I was in the Navy on shore duty and my family was hundreds of miles away in KC.

Wow that’s a huge hike, I’ll need to look up more about it….though I doubt I’ll actually be that hardcore.
