We don’t “usually” play the Diamondbacks. We have had like three series against them this decade. He said it so matter-of-factly like they were division rivals.

to me, the question is just how much of the contract the Royals would have to eat

if they can save a few million dollars this season and next, then it seems like a decent move. bring up Costa or move Teahen out there and use someone else to fill in a third until Gordon gets back

Slightly OT

Got into the Stadium Club the other night.

It was nice and air conditioned, but like $32 a plate. It was definitely not a $32 buffet. Beers were $7.25 for a 12 oz bottle. Less beer, same price!

I don’t he think he was saying Jacobs is good. Just that when he connects, it is a thing of beauty. Which it is.

He just doesn’t do it very much. Which is bad, because that is the only thing he is somewhat useful for.

It’s just that at the time, Jacobs was a lot more exciting. He had hit some bombs when that piece was written, now it’s almost hopeless.
