Wilmington Blue Rocks No-Hit by Levi Maxwell
(Though it was just a 7 inning game)
The Rocks have certainly had an interesting season. They've got great pitching all year -- including a four game shutout streak -- but has also had trouble hitting the ball.Winston-Salem right-hander Levi Maxwell pitched a no-hitter against the Blue Rocks this evening, as the Dash won 4-0 in the first game of a doublehaeder at Frawley Stadium.

Maxwell faced the minimum number of Blue Rocks batters, as the Rocks drew three walks but had two runners picked off and another caught stealing.
The 24-year-old Maxwell struck out two, and his pitching record only improved to 2-8. Both of those wins have come against the Blue Rocks, the other on June 13. He was drafted in the 18th round in 2007.
