That apparently every team has a group of fans as passionate as we are, and that they have a good team that by current stats should not lose to our team… but bets are hedged that cover the possibility that the Royals could actually beat the Rays tonight.

I’m hoping it happens naturally. TPJ likelihood of being in the lineup makes me hemmorhage cerebrally.

I would like to see Brayan get this start though, and in part that’s based on the opinion that the posting Rays fans have of their starting pitcher.

I’m assuming it’s a similar societal slice to us here, and that there are the ‘smart’ ones and the ‘smart’ asses; and reflectively they know as much about their team as we know about ours.

With Hiram starting for us, and all their hitters that are making up (am I right about this…) an offense that’s at or near the top of the AL; I’m hoping we trot out at least our best defensive lineup.

But here’s my prediction. Maybe so far off base that I could get picked off by a dead man, but I’m thinking we get on Sonnenstine early and Hiram has a smokin’ hot first three innings.

Optimism is a beautiful thing, but no matter how cynical you get, it’s never enough.
