"Do they have people that tall in Mexico?"
Slightly better than Stan Belinda
in my opinion.
Charlie Morton, the Pirates' starter
posted an ugly 6.15 ERA last season, with a FIP about a run lower. He walked over 4 per 9 and gave up more than 1 HR/9 in the National League as a member of the Atlanta Braves.
This is a pretty big pitching mismatch, not that that guarantees anything.
"Do they have people that tall in Mexico?"
Avoiding a sweep against the Pirates
would be nice. Greinke’s pitching, so I think I’ll hold off on Half-Life 2 Episode One for now.
"Do they have people that tall in Mexico?"
Hello everyone
I have no idea why Im watching this….. Oh yeah I do. Greinke is pitching so we actually have a chance to win….. MAYBE
It really can't be any worse than last night's game.
If you were thinking, you wouldn't have thought that.
Ahh Come on.....
Are you not excited to have yet another former brave on the team in Bruce Chen? What a joke!
by 2LegittoShit on Jun 28, 2009 1:24 PM EDT up reply actions
It's really not that Bruce Chen is a former Brave...
it’s that Kyle Davies was so bad that Bruce Chen is probably an improvement.
"Do they have people that tall in Mexico?"
A sweep by the Pirates might just be enough for me to completely write off this season.
Zack, don’t let that happen.
If you were thinking, you wouldn't have thought that.
As far as competing for the division, yeah.
I’m still holding out hope that when Gordon comes back the lineup will stabilize a little and we’ll get some better baseball.
If you were thinking, you wouldn't have thought that.
That makes sense
I was gonna say, Cleveland’s definitely history and they’re only 1.5 games worse than us. Wow, what a disappointing year for them, though – they had a chance (and I think, led in every game) to win every single game of that four gamer with the Cubs, and got swept.
"Do they have people that tall in Mexico?"
WOW!
Ed McMahon
Farrah Fawcett
Michael Jefferson
AND! Billy Mays, crazy week.

If Trey were a winner
He’d be the most badass manager in the MLB.
He’s got the looks, the voice, everything but the ability.
Looking at last night's box score,
Royals pitchers actually threw 1 less pitch than the Pirates pitchers. That seems really odd considering the Royals lost 6-2.
Pirates 113
Royals 112 (that includes Bale’s 25 pitch 8th)
Ah, forgot about the Royals not throwing in the 9th. That explains it.
If you were thinking, you wouldn't have thought that.

There’s a zero percent chance he scores when he gets thrown out.

I'm not just throwing it out there

how many times have we had 3 hit’s out of 3 straight batters all season???
by GobbleforCyoung on Jun 28, 2009 2:27 PM EDT up reply actions
unless you have something to back it up,
you’re just throwing it out there.
If Guillen would have stayed on 2nd, there was a 99% chance of Brayan Pena hitting a homerun.
See, I can do it too.
If you were thinking, you wouldn't have thought that.
by Warden11 on Jun 28, 2009 2:29 PM EDT up reply actions 1 recs
what??? Are you being stupid on purpose?
Three straight Royal batters have a chance to get a hit between 25-40 times a game
First a Royal has to get a hit and our team has a batting average of 25%…then two Royals have to get a hit. So that’s 25% chance probability after a 25% probability. And so on.
How often does that happen 3 times in a row? It’s less than our probability. I think we have had 3 straight hits what, bout 25 times this season? We have had 2500 play appearances as a team
by GobbleforCyoung on Jun 28, 2009 2:36 PM EDT up reply actions
How many times have we had three hits in a row?
Exactly why we shouldn’t waste the baserunners we get.
"Do they have people that tall in Mexico?"
im not defending it...Guillen of all players shoudl be conservative on the base path

Other than that, useless. It’s just like facebook statuses….and nothing else. And the people who link their twitter to facebook….seriously, no one cares what you’re doing 24/7. No one.
Facebook is worse in a way, because a lot of people my age and a little younger like to use it as a fake social scene rather than just to keep in touch. But at least there’s more to it than twitter.

Look up various anatomical terms and look at their Latin roots. Sometimes it’s pretty hilarious (with those parts south of the Mason-Dixon line, if you get my drift), and sometimes it just makes you jealous. Wouldn’t anatomy be easier if we just said “flute” instead of “tibia”? That’s what the Romans did.
That is pretty cool
