The buzz on the rumor mill is that the Royals are openly offering some veteran players in response to their disappointing season. Names making the rounds include David DeJesus, Mark Teahen, Kyle Davies, Brian Bannister and virtually all of their relievers.
"One of their guys told me they’re looking to deal," one scout from another organization said. "He said everyone except Greinke, (Joakim) Soria and Meche are available.
"He said they want to hold on to (Billy) Butler and (Alex) Gordon, but they’re willing to listen."
One Royals official confirmed interest from other clubs in Davies, who was recently optioned to Class AAA Omaha after a series of poor starts.
ESPN’s Peter Gammons linked Teahen to the Giants, Red Sox, Cubs, White Sox and Mets in a recent Twitter message. Interest in Teahen could grow because Mark DeRosa no longer is on the market after a trade Saturday from the Indians to the Cardinals.

To be fair.
I doubt anyone would actually trade for them.

I just hope
we don’t trade DDJ or Teahen so that Trey has no option but to use Guillen in RF and Maier/Bloomquist in CF every day.
I know that DDJ/Teahen are among the only players with any trade value, but I’d rather just eat $8mm of Guillen’s salary and trade him for a prospect or a 4th OF.

seems like Davies could have more value in the NL
borderline 4/5 starter in AL = #3 starter for most NL clubs. trade him for some prospects.

I don't know about that
AL pitching is better and their numbers suffer because of a DH, but that’s a bit much. De La Rosa was like our 3rd/4th starter and is the Rockies 5th starter now.

That speaks to how bad
The Royals were put together, not the strength of the league.
BOOM! ROASTED!

Gobble, you’re right i’m probably making a bit of an exaggeration, especially since a #3 starter is usually a pretty good pitcher, even for most NL teams…but not all of them…..

I'm not sure they could trade TPJ
to the T-Bones.

Maybe if we gave them 10 bats and picked up his remaining salary.
