Glavine in the rotation?
Glavine has reportedly been released by the Braves. Will DM continue his lust for ex-Braves and sign the venerable pitcher as a Royal?

Why not?
Assuming he would come cheap, why not gamble on this move? Benefit would be the probable release of Ponson, and the move of Hochevar to the bullpen, where he seemingly could be eased into the big leagues like most teams do with their best prospects in the first place.
Mr Glass, this is a pro sports team, not a retail store - run it like one!

I think we should do something with Davies or Banny if we get Glavine
rather than mess with the big league development of Hochevar
Bloomquist. God? Or just an illusion? You be the judge.

You don't think he can post a 4.80 ERA?
Because, if you remove Greinke’s stats, our team ERA is HIGHER than that, so he would be an IMPROVEMENT over about half the guys on the current roster.

Neither Chone nor ZiPS thinks so
and that was not taking his injury or the transition to the AL into account
I'm not a sabermetrician, but I do play one at Driveline Mechanics.
