Radical idea to help Royals

I haven't seen this idea floated yet, but I think it would have some merit:

Can we get Mark Grudzielanek back? It was a nice idea of Dayton Moore's to not re-sign him in order to try and snag an extra draft pick (and make up for the one we lost signing Juan Cruz), but clearly no one else seems to want to sign him and give us the pick, so...let's take him back. Unless it can be proven that his skills have declined, he's definitely both better on both defense and on offense than any middle infielder currently on our roster.

What do the rest of you think?

Same here

it’s a lost season, why play the stop gap? Even if it isn’t a lost season, we still need to play Callaspo.

Because when Grudz leaves us this winter

He would be a Type B free agent, and could land us a draft pick. Then next summer, when no one signs him, we sign him again. And the cycle continues….

I don't know how much of an upgrade he is over callaspo

though atthe beginning of theyear, the team viewed AC as a backup, so who knows

I'd like to see callaspo hit 7th.

and grudz brought in to DH…. at least he’d hit 270
