i was hoping that he had gone back to his “pitch-to-contact” style that actually had a chance of being effective, though non-traditional. it seems he has to some extent, but with mixed results

He had a game where he got the first two, gave up two singles, then got the third out for 7 straight innings. Then apparently got bored and retired the last six. 14 hit complete game shutout. Dead ball era sorta helped that out.

Oh yeah its funny to see KC fans rip Herm Edwards

As a Jets Fan from NY the only reason that loser had a job was A) he was former NFL player and B) Most NFL players (that are Black) like playing for a Black head coach…..the guy was probably the stupidest NFL coach in the past 5 years.

but we can rally in the 9th, put Soria in and sneak away with a victory

I feel this is possible!

Everytime Jacobs gets up to bat

I am reminded of how lucky we are to have Nunez dominating hitters (like he did in early 2008)….and every time I see Coco smile and walk to the dugout after a strikeout I thank god we have such a dominant, cheap option in the bullpen who can pitch 75 innings this year and have an ERA under 3.

Then I wake up from my nightmare

could be worse though... at least we dont have David Ortiz

not that it will make any difference, but

it would have been nicer if Coco had pulled that grounder to second so that the runner could get to third base.

Jacobs career slugging vs. LHB

Under .400……..somebody tell (Everybody loves) Traymond please….

Jamey Wright does get a lot of ground balls…problem is, his
non-ground balls tend to navigate much of the globe….

Kind of like Farnsy

strikes out a bunch

but

gives up homers

I truly cant believe I watch this team

We re no doubt a bottom three american league organization. Every mother fucker associated from a player/org. standpoint should just be sick and embarrassed about not only this game but every game since we were 18-11 which was a clearly a fluke. Last Place guys. Welcome back to where this team apparently belongs, FOREVER.

Terrible

In one day, a sink into last, and a rub-in-face lost draft pick.

Crow is going to be good for us

why you think not? We got him at a lower slot than the Nationals with a year of more experience

I mean

that Juan Cruz who cost us our 2nd round draft pick tonight sucked rocks.

Whatever guys

We drafted a pitcher that can make our rotation in 2010. We can jettison the shit on our roster like Jacobs and get excited for this team:

Greinke
Meche
Hochevar
Davies/Bannister
Crow

Consistent lineup (after Hilldumb is fired):

Dejesus, Gordon, Kila, Butler, Teahen, Guillen, Callaspo, Aviles/Bloomquist, B Pena

by GobbleforCyoung on Jun 9, 2009 10:12 PM EDT reply actions

That is a decent to good rotation

That offense still blows, it needs some work.

by kcbottom9th on Jun 9, 2009 10:13 PM EDT up reply actions

Well all i can say about Crow is he was etremely unimpressive in the oxford regional

a couple of weeks ago but everyone is real high on him so we ll see. Hochevar was supposed to be special too, remember. At this point I feel sorry for Crow. He is probably crying that the royals organization took him. I would be.

by 2LegittoShit on Jun 9, 2009 10:15 PM EDT reply actions

nothing can be as bad as Hochevar at #1

imagine a rotation with Lincecum and Greinke.

While Stodolka and Griffin were epic failures. Spending your #1 pick on the next Jason Grimsley is a pretty big mistake. Way to be scammed, guys.

What a horrible, horrible, horrible team.

- W. Bloomquist homered to deep center

You People Seem

To have given up hope. Congratulations, you’ve joined me in my state of eternal despair. Give up or leave. This is as good as it gets.

I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.
