Late Night Royals Links: Blogosphere Still Reacting to Betancourt

The Betancourt Trade continues to be a flashpoint. Active bloggers are threatening to call it quits and guys who haven't posted in awhile have been inspired to post again. Of course, I was the guy who lost it over the Freel trade, which either means I'm more hardcore or maybe that I was wrong to complain then. Or right. I don't know anymore.

Notes on HR Derby and Softball

Fielder put on a show, Ozzie is great, and Nelly is gonna get some Sportcenter screentime. Oh, and Jenna Fischer is HOT.

    Im still pissed...

that David Cook (being a native Kansas Citian) sang in StL and didn’t even bother to where anything Royals related… Even though (and please dont judge me) he wore a Royals hat whilst waiting in line for his American Idol audition.

Consider this your warning of judgment

(though you can judge back because my wife Tivoed all his stuff and “made” me watch him.)

(seriously , MADE, me watch his singing)

He actually wore that KC hat nearly every week during some point that made it on TV, or so I’ve been told

Thanks for the latenight links, I don't want to do work anymore

I think being more pissed over the Freel deal makes you a more hardcore fan!

But I keep thinking it’s probably because Farny can contact you via interwebs, sorta like Johny Neumonic.

spf (illinois): is there a bigger disaster of an organization than the nationals?

Joe Sheehan: The Royals, all things considered. The Nationals are basically still recovering from the last years in Montreal, the specter of contraction (which led to the Sizemore/Lee/Phillips deal) and the years of neglect by MLB. They’re not GOOD now, but I can’t emphasize enough how far behind they fell in that timeframe.

    and the thing is

as these storylines go, its in the top 1% in terms of being non-annoying, but still, i’ve heard it

I do too. I raged super hard today when they announced halladay. It makes me want the whole city of tampa destroyed by a godzilla/super-angry-destructive-lizard just so madden will know how stupid his east coast posturing is. That is why I am boycotting…of course if it weren’t in st louis I might turn it on. I love the royals and they’ve been disrespected too much by not only the ownership but by stupid moves like this.

Can we hire Manny Acta now?

you don't understand PR, do you?

Hiring Acta as a manager would not exactly be a good PR move.

Anyways, we need a third base coach and he has the experience for the job. Let him work his way back.

St Louis fans own KC fans on sportcenter (I know, seriously)

Missouri one of the few states who thinks the NL will win tomorrow.
