Late Night Royals Links: AAA All Star Game Edition

Former Royal Esteban German is starting in tonight's AAA All-Star game (currently being shown on ESPN2) in Portland. The Royals are represented by O-Royal reliever Dusty Hughes. Oh, and some guy named Huber might play as a reserve.

i don;t know what to make of all these old Allard stories...

between Poz & Rany, he was basically the greatest GM that never was

What was with the 36 hour window to trade Dye?

I’ve seen it mentioned multiple places, but never a reasoning for it. Dye wasn’t traded right at the deadline, was he?

Rany gives RR and d_f a shout out!

    Moving up in the world.

Interesting piece by Rany. Can’t disagree with what he’s written, but man it paints an ugly picture.

If you were thinking, you wouldn't have thought that.

That's the second or third RR reference that Rany has dropped, iirc

He could be reading right now!

It feels like Rany's about to fold the tent, too

First R&R and now Rany :(

You know, I can’t say I blame him but it’s a shame to see him go, if he does indeed leave. Writing like his and others are what makes it tolerable.

If the Royals pull of another "big" September, he'll come back around

Gordon having a massive second half (which I’m personally not expecting) would also help

When are you going to realize that Dayton doesn't buy into wOBA?

Actually, can’t even use sarcasm font here. I’m not sure he buys into OBP.

If you were thinking, you wouldn't have thought that.

I've had a few OBP themed fanposts running through my mind, but I wouldn't even know where to start with this group.

Looking at this page, seeing how to articulate the massive failure in plate approaches since the first month.

If you were thinking, you wouldn't have thought that.

Might drive the point home a little bit more.

Of course, GMDM keeps adding sinkholes to the roster. Maybe Out % would emphasize how dumb that really is.

    Sorry if I'm repeating this

But am I crazy or is Jeter getting a lot less hype this season, in which he’s having his best year since 2006?

    average (1) SS defense
    .385 wOBA
    3.5 WAR at the break
    .321/.396/.461
