I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.

by philofthenorth on Jul 19, 2009 1:57 PM EDT reply actions

I still don't get why he's so deadset on batting Callaspo after Jacobs.

Jacobs hits the ball far (when he hits it) and wouldn’t it be a good idea to have a guy that is on base in FRONT of him instead of the way Trey does?

If you were thinking, you wouldn't have thought that.

Maybe not, but I can't blame anybody for not wanting to watch or support this team right now.

Trey’s quotes from post game in the paper are enough to turn people away.

Obviously, anyone that questions him or DM is part of the uneducated masses.

And sandwiching Hoagy and Jakers between Teahen and Callaspo while A-Gor sits cannot be an accident. It requires careful planning to fuck up a batting order like that.

i love that clip

it was john meyer, apparently, and I’m guessing he was only pretending to be a complete moron regarding baseball

but you never know — funny either way

John Meyer is really funny...

He did one episode of the John Meyer show…

He would wear a bear suit and interview people in the crowd, he kept saying I live John Maier, and this chick was getting furious… ITS JOHN MEYER!!!

Also there used to be a clip of him doing standup, but its been removed from youtube

How’re we setting ourselves up for heartbreak today?

I remember growing up in the Northeast

and each summer there would be one week of hell – high temps and humidity – and our home did not have air conditioning. You just sit and sweat.

I Never Had

A/C in KC, Topeka or Little Rock. Little Rock was by far the worst.

I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.

this is a sign of the sad state this team is in

to have Teahen batting clean-up. He should be hitting either 2nd or 6th

Listening on radio

Denny with Steve Stewart instead of Davis is actually a lot more pleasant.

Yeah, it was a stupid screen name.
