Only 47 days til’ Mizzou football. Can’t wait.

the funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it!

me too...though I'm a bit biased...

I got to play in a basketball tournament this spring with starting center Tim Barnes (I coached him in high school), and he brought along LB Luke Lambert to help us out. Luke banked in a big three pointer in the final minute to give us a victory against a team that had former Mizzou (and current KC Chief) lineman Colin Brown. FYI: Brown is a mountain of a man. Holy cow. Talk about taking a charge against that guy!

But I hope that they can still have a good season despite all the changes in the offensive personnel and coaching staff. I don’t expect anything like the last few years, but hopefully another good year for Mizzou sports.

Riiiiiiiight

“Injuries” are why we’re a bad ball club, not because we went into the season with Sidney Ponson and Horacio Ramirez in our starting rotation, Jose Guillen and Mike Jacobs playing defense at the same time, a General Manager with a phobia of OBP putting together our offense, and a bullpen of washed up has-beens.

By the way, I think the lineup might have actually been better with Teahen at 3B and Gordon on the DL. Just thought I’d point that out.

Could This Be

The infamous “show of confidence” that always precedes firing a manager? The Rox GM made similar noises about Hurdle a week or 2 before he got the axe.

I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.

did they use the word "embattled" to describe HIllman?

Defensive

""Are we perfect? No. Do we make mistakes? Yes. But the effort is good, the process is good, and you can’t get discouraged."

I don’t expect Dayton to come out and say “we suck”, but I hate quotes like this. As if anyone was asking the team to be perfect. But I’m glad to hear the effort and process are good. Just imagine if the process was bad – how awful would we be then?

It is one of the great Quirks of baseball

That you can have a perfect process and still suck so much.
