I was just looking at teams

that could easily absorb the hit of Halladay’s salary. Just throwing stuff out there. I’m sure the Braves would love to one-up the Phillies, but I don’t think they’d go for that big a deal. Hmm…what about the Rockies? Anyone good in that system?

there's not a ton....

Too bad for the Rox if they don't have the prospects

that really seems like an acquisition for them that would make a TON of sense. They can’t catch LA, but they certainly could be a scary team in the postseason. Halladay’s groundball voodoo and the move to the NL would completely neutralize coors field. And yes, this is all just me randomly speculating.

Halladay as a Red Sox would feel….wrong.

his glove arm is a swinging gate motion… this flattens his pitches, costs him movement, and changes his release because it’s harder to replicate….

not very noticible

but his rotation is different. It’s different from the first few weeks of the season to now.

His initial move in his delivery

is a giant, writhing upheaval because his hands start so low. I can’t see how that helps him with control.

It probably doesn’t because there is so much movement it’s easy to get out of proportions.

I was always taught tight to the body, then I worked with some big league guys and friends who made it, and my LL coach was right.

Linear pitching?

Makes sense, doesn’t it? It’s really more about the momentum than anything. You just have to control it and release it where you want it… It’s like your chi!
